HorsePlace began in 2004 with an idea to provide a unique shopping experience for the young horseback rider, with a convenient location and affordable prices. Fun colors in riding gear and novelty gift items for horse enthusiasts were not always easy to find in the immediate market area, although experience indicated a need (once you’ve driven a long way for that must-have birthday party gift, you won’t be wanting to make the trip again any time soon!). With years of retail experience, the Tageson family decided to open a place of their own.

Located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, HorsePlace is in the heart of horse country. Chester County is home to one of the largest equestrian populations in the country, and there are many riders in the area just beginning to fall in love with the sport, or who have years of horseback riding experience under their belts.

In the three years since opening, HorsePlace has gained a loyal customer base and a reputation for great prices and exceptional customer service.
